Four people were shot and killed on a rural road in Blair County, Pennsylvania, this morning after a shootout with state troopers, according to reports.
A gunman shot three people dead and was later killed by authorities.
The incident started at a farm early Friday near Geeseytown, Pa.
In all, three men and one woman were killed in the shooting.
Investigators suspect the shooter might have been driving when he opened fire on people for unknown reasons, the Pittsburgh Tribune Review reported.
According to WTAJ, three state troopers were also injured.
One of the troopers was shot but was wearing a bulletproof vest; two other troopers sustained non-life threatening injuries after an accident with the suspect.
No other information has been released at this time.
This is yet another scary incident involving gun violence in the week since the Newtown, Connecticut shooting, which has re-ignited the nation's focus on the topic.
Just this week, numerous people have been slain across the country from Colorado to South Dakota and across every region of the United States.
