From denofgeek, Now, this makes us feel old. Richard Donner's classic (in our opinion, at least) family adventure movie The Goonies was released in the US on 7 June 1985, which makes it a quarter of a century old today.

Most worryingly, I can still remember when the young actor Jeff Cohen (who played Lawrence 'Chunk' Cohen) appeared on Terry Wogan's chat show to promote the movie as though it were yesterday. The march of time is a terrifying thing.

But while time has taken its toll on The Goonies' viewers, the film's still an entertaining adventure, despite its antiquated fashions. Sloth's make-up doesn't look quite as convincing now as it did when we were in short trousers, but that only adds to the fun.

So raise a glass to The Goonies, and enjoy this original theatrical trailer, produced all those years ago, and marvel at just how youthful Josh Brolin and Corey Feldman looked...
