"Alien Prequel" Cancelled!!!

What the fuck is going on her? One minute the prequel and it's sequel was a go, then put on hold, then a go again, now it's becoming it's on franchise and leaving the original "Alien" universe. WHAT?
Ridley Scott's cancelled "Alien" prequel has transformed into "Prometheus". Noomi Rapace has signed on as the first lead female of the film. But it's been confirmed that there are five lead characters to fill. Rapace is one, so there's four left.
Scott did say that the new sci-fi film will "share strands of (Aliens) DNA". AWESOME! So it'll still feel slightly the same way as the "Alien" franchise, but different in a way. This could work.
