Technology: Apple Reaches $500 Billion

"Apple crossed the $500 billion mark in trading, setting another record high for the world's most valuable company. This half-trillion mark doesn't come easy either. In the history of all companies ever, Apple is now only among five other moguls, Microsoft, ExxonMobil, Cisco and General Electric. Today, none of those companies settle very close to Apple's $500 billion, invincible heels. Microsoft, Cisco and GE did it at the culmination of the tech bubble in 1999, while ExxonMobil clawed to half a trillion in 2007 with such high oil prices. In fact, Microsoft is the only company ever to be valued over $600 billion, though today it sits at a much smaller $287 billion. For reference, Apple's value is now larger than the gross domestic product of Poland, Belgium, Sweden, Saudi Arabia and Taiwan. That's a big deal. And, yes, it is still growing. With new iPads in a week, new Macbooks this summer and a 4G LTE iPhone in the fall, 2012 may host the best year Apple has ever seen."

Music: Azealia Banks Doesn't Approve Of Iggy Azalea

Apparently, Azealia Banks didn't approve of Iggy Azalea being on the XXL's 2012 Freshman list.  She tweeted:
"Iggy Azalea on the XXL freshman list is all wrong. How can you endorse a white woman who called herself a 'runaway slave master'? Sorry guys. But I'm pro black girl. I'm not anti white girl, but I'm also not here for any1 outside of my culture trying to trivialize very serious aspects of it."
Iggy not trying to take her mind off of the moment didn't respond directly to Banks but to "people in general".
"You can't block my blessings! Today I'm celebrating! Get with it or kick rocks! First female freshman. Ever. Period. Thanks world! I used to stick XXL on my bedroom door, now I'm on the cover. Life is great."

Entertainment: Man Shot Outside Of Rick Ross' House

Miami Gardens police say Ross was not at the house during the shooting and are not treating him as a suspect, but they still want to talk to him as part of the investigation. Ross, who has a different mailing address, uses the property as a recording studio and often lets friends stay at the property. He was not immediately available for comment.

Music: Trey Songz On Changing His Music

In a recent interview with GQ Magazine Trey Songz shared on how he might be changing musical directions soon.

"I could make a hundred 'Bottoms Up's, but they won't change nobody's life. Marvin Gaye sang love songs to a certain point, and then it was like, 'Fuck this, I'm not clean-cut no more. I'm putting this skully on, letting this beard grow out, and I'm doing whatever the fuck I wanna do."

Interesting.

Live Vixen: Mya

Mya use to be singer, but now all she is a girl who goes to clubs.

Entertainment: Wiz Khalifa 'I'll Make A $100 Million This Year'

Last year Forbes Magazine listed Wiz Khalifa as making $11 million, when asken will he surpasss that total this year Wiz said, "Oh yeah, man, I’m going to make $100 million this year... No doubt, $100 million. The new mixtape will get everybody ready and get their wallets open."

So, I'm sure Wiz is planning to continuing touring all-year round, release his cd, and add a few features, but $100 million?

Sports: Kobe Diagnosed W/ Concussion + Broken Nose

Thanks to Wade giving Kobe that unnecessary "hard" foul during the ALL-STAR GAME, Kobe now has a broken nose and concussion. Bryant is listed as day-to-day and the chances are slim that he will play against Minnesota on Wednesday. Everybody know Kobe will play through almsot anything, but the reason it is most likely he won't play is because of a new policy set in motion this season. It says, after a player is symptom-free for 24 hours, he must complete a series of steps to confirm he's healthy enough for competition. The steps are increasing stages of exertion from a stationary bike to jogging to agility work to non-contact drills while ensuring the symptoms didn't return after each stage.

Entertainment: J. Cole's Hometown Gives Him His Own Holiday

Sports: Plaxico Burress Wants To Play In Philly

Back when Plaxico Burress first got out of jail and was weighing his options out of the few teams who were interested in him, the top two options being the Philadelphia Eagles and his ultimate pick the New York Jets. According to Burress, he really did want to go to Philly, but NY was paying more so he chose them. But, now that he's in a better place financially, and at the end of his 1-year contract with the Jets, he says “nothing else would make me happier” than to take his talents to Philly. We'll see what happens, the Eagles could definitely use him as a deep threat, especially in the red zone where they're horrible.

Entertainment: Seth Rogen Comments On Chris Brown

Saturday, while onstage at the Independent Spirit Awards, Seth Rogen had a little commentary to say about Chris Brown vs. the dismissal of Bret Ratner's from the Academy Awards for his "homophobic" comments.

"You say a few hateful things, they don't let you within a few hundred yards of the Oscars. You can literally beat the shit out of a nominee and they'll ask you to perform twice at the Grammys."

Sports: Babe Ruth Jersey Auctioning For $1 Million

Babe Ruth's, "The Sultan of Swat", "The Great Bambino", 1920 Yankee jersey is being auctioned off. The oldest jersey ever worn by Ruth is said to sell for at least $1 million, but it is likely the betting will surpass the auction record of $2.8 million, for a Honus Wagner trading card.

There is no splitting of winnings, and prizes will be awarded on a first-come-first-served basis until the $1 million threshold is reached.

Music: Birdman Hopes To Release 16 Albums In 2012

Birdman says he hopes to release 16 albums of different genres on YMCMB this year, including full-length LPs from Nicki Minaj, Bow Wow, Lil Twist and Limp Bizkit. “I think bringing Fred and Limp Bizkit to the team gives us a different look,” he said. “We dominate rap, but we’re also trying to grow in different areas; Pop, rock, gospel, country.” Baby emphasized his vision to expand Cash Money beyond Hip Hop boundaries.

Maybe that's why YMCMB can't ever commit to a release date. Too busy "expanding" they can't be professional with what they have now. I don't anybody on their label has ever had their album come out on the initial release date. I foresee them bringing their own demise, at least musically.

Music: 2012 XXL's Freshman List

-French Montana
-Machine Gun Kelly
-Iggy Azalea
-Future
-Hopsin
-Don Trip
-Roscoe Dash
-Macklemore
-Kid Ink
-Danny Brown

I'm only familiar with some of the people on this list so I'll just speak on them. French Montana.... FAIL. He is terrible, nevertheless he is "hot" or relevant right now so ok I guess. I like MGK, he's different, I still have to hear more from him though. Future is cool, he works a lot, and has a different sound so picking him is accurate I suppose. I've only recently been introduced to Don Trip and from what I've heard so far he seems alright, bringing something different. I approve of his pick. Kid Ink is ok, because sometimes when I hear him he's hot, other times he's just nothing, but he's buzzing right now. Roscoe Dash... I thought he was just "T-Pain" for hooks, I'm not sure what to say about him. And, I've heard Iggy Azalea's name, I have too look her up and see what she's about.

Entertainment: Erykah Badu Banned From Malaysia For 'Offensive' Tattoo

On Tuesday Grammy-winning singer, Erykah Badu, was set to perform in Malaysia, but after a photo appeared showing her with the Arabic word for Allah written on her body the country went into an uproar. The government committee made the decision to forbid Badu from performing because she had "offended the religious sensitivities" of Muslims. Badu didn't hear about the action until her flight landed, so she was permitted to be a tourist, just not to perform.

Sports: All-Star Game In New York

There are talks that the refurbished Madison Square Garden will be hosting the 2015 All-Star Game. All-Star Game in NYC, that would be huge.

Sports: No Timetable For Odom's Return To The Mavs

Lamar Odom did not report back to the Dallas Mavericks on Monday and coach Rick Carlisle did not give a timetable for the forward’s return. Odom left the team last Wednesday to attend to his ill father in Los Angeles, a source confirmed. Odom missed the Mavs’ loss to his former team, the Lakers, and apparently won’t be in uniform when Dallas resumes the regular season at home Tuesday night against the New Jersey Nets. In addition, there are rumors that Odom might not return to the Mavericks and a midseason buyout could be a possibility, even though owner Mark Cuban told ESPNDallas.com’s Tim MacMahon via email Monday night: “We haven’t discussed a buyout and we wouldn’t do a buyout. No chance that happens at all. We want to help Lamar work through any personal issues and expect him to be a valuable contributor to the Mavs this season. Players go through challenges from time to time and we try to be an organization that fully supports our players when things are challenging for them. We will do the same for Lamar.”

If they do get rid of him, I wouldn't blame him. Being a professional basketball player, after being traded from the Lakers, Lamar acting every way but professional. And, months after the trade happened he still isn't producing as he should.

Sports: Derrick Rose -___-

Apparently, people were surprised that Rose wasn't one of the starters dancing during the All-Star Game Intros. It's Derrick Rose... enough said. How many times has Rose even smiled before. Not too many. One of the things I've always commented on it doesn't seem as if Rose doesn't have a personality at all. If he would of started dancing and actually looked like he was having a good time and wasn't being forced to play by an overbearing father or something, that would of been a surprise. But, at the end of the day, he's a great basketball player, not a singer. It was the All-Star Game, not the Grammys, if he doesn't have a sense of humor that's ok. I guess...

Entertainment: Terrell Owens... FAIL

Things just keept worse for TO. He is is about to lose two Dallas condominiums to foreclosure despite having made at least $80 million during his playing days in the NFL. Reports are saying that Owens is "delinquent" on a $360,000 loan from JPMorgan Chase for one condo, and on a $295,920 loan from Deutsche Bank on the second one. Both condos, a couple of blocks apart will go up for auction March 6th. Owens fortune has been lost due to bad investments and high child support payments.

Music: Big Sean On His New Album

When asked about his upcoming sophomore and what differences will his fans see in his two albums, the young rapper had a lot to say.

"Yeah, there's going to be some Kanye production. We had a couple of Kanye productions for the first one but they didn't make the cut. One got sample clearance, couldn't get the sample cleared in time, and the other one we just didn't think it fit the album. Yeah, we got a lot of stuff on deck," No I.D., we've got a song that's going to change the world. It's very inspiring. The inspiration, when you're inspired, when you get inspired, that's the best thing to do, through your music. I could tell you it's an inspirational record that's going to change the world. One verse, I rap from a perspective and the other, I rap from a crazy perspective. It's a concept record, it's crazy." Big Sean also spoke about the differences in his sophomore album and his debut. "I think it did the right thing. Now, I can take it to another level with the artistry, and that's what I'm really excited about, to be able to grow from there and go hard," he said. "I feel my new music is more reminiscent of my earlier work, only way better because I'm a way better rapper now. So I think that's the best way to do it, to really take me back to what got me to where I am and just take it to another level."

Entertainment: Drake Addresses Issues With Ludacris, Future, And Pusha T

These past couple of months a lot of people have been taking shots at Drake for various reasons. One of the more popular beefs, was with Common, which has sense been squashed. However, as for the issues with rappers,Ludacris, Pusha T, and Future, things aren't exactly settled. But, when asked about the artists Drake shared how he isn't letting anything bring him down.

“I’ve got no issues with him,” he says of Future, who was upset that Drake didn’t appear in his video, “Tony Montana.” “I’m happy I got on the song.” Pusha T, who once cryptically rhymed that, “the swag doesn’t match the sweaters,” gets off easy, too. “I’ve been really open about my love for the Clipse,” he says. “I don’t know, maybe that guy is bored.” Ludacris, who was accused of stealing Big Sean and Drake’s hashtag flow, also receives a halfhearted smack down, “That’s a case of someone trying to use my marketing money to get things going again for themselves. That didn’t affect my day, my month, my year. I didn’t take any of that seriously.”

Technology: iPad 3 Price?

Sports: Orlando Magic Pursuing Nash

The Orland Magic are very interested in the veteran 2-time MVP Steve Nash; who is in his last contract with the Phoenix Suns. The Magic are trying to do anything to keep their star center, Dwight Howard, in Orland. But, I doubt that Nash, who isn't the same Nash from 2005 when he won the MVP, will be enough to sway Howard to stay.
